So you’ve heard the term ‘online learning community,’ and ‘social presence’ and moved your thoughts on promptly because it just doesn’t sound like anything relevant to how you teach….or perhaps it is something that has interested you, but you don’t know how to find information about it, where to start and how it would look in practice...
Welcome to our Q&A fact sheet for all things ‘online learning communities’ and ‘social presence’ focussed on webinars, and specifically Zoom!
Is it only relevant to Zoom?
If OLCs have piqued your interest, then developing a OLC can be applied at a unit or course level. If this is something you are interested in, feel free to discuss with your local learning designer. For the purposes of creating webinars which are dynamic, engaging and valuable to students this fact sheet will primarily focus on Zoom.
