ITD will be performing maintenance on University IT systems and services this Saturday, 9th July 2016. The full-day maintenance will commence from 6am and will complete by 6pm and as a result most services will experience periods of disruption.
For staff and on-campus students:
Staff should expect intermittent outages as systems are restarted following maintenance updates. Network connections as well as internet access will be temporarily unavailable in different locations across campus during the day.
ITD will be upgrading the Skype for Business environment during the outage. While we will endeavour to keep the on campus phone system working, there may be periods of system interruption including and not limited to calls, faxing, EFTPOS transactions, online meetings and instant messaging. The Safety and Security number as well as the campus help phone network will to continue to operate.
For off-campus students: Moodle and student email should NOT be affected.
- No work is planned on Moodle. However, we recommend that you download any materials (such as readings and lecture recording) you require over the weekend to your local system to make sure you have access in case of any unplanned outages or disruptions.
- Student Email (Office365 emails @myune.edu.au) will be available throughout the day.
This event is one of ITD’s scheduled maintenance windows, during which essential work is carried out to enhance and improve University systems.
The schedule of maintenance windows for 2016 can be found on the ITD website (http://www.une.edu.au/staff-current/staff-services/it-services/it-maintenance-dates ). Please check these dates before planning any events that may require IT services or support.
